The latest release by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Aqua Media Cologne Forte, paints everything green with its invigorating fresh luminosity structure, creating a scented snapshot of the beautiful garden. Evoking water and light, it embodies a sense of balance and freshness with its long-lasting and intense trail carried by vibrant herbal citrus notes. It's cool and transportive, featuring bergamot from Calabria, verbena, sweet fennel, and a matcha tea-woody musk accord.
The opening focuses on the sparkling, thirst-quenching sensation, which quickly mellows into a palette cleansing the slightly grassy and sweet flavor of verbena, creating a feeling of
Hedione is worth mentioning and is quite an exciting addition to the entire cocktail, creating a stalky and crunchy sensation of crisp, green, and watery vegetation. The whole composition is like an herbal garden, bringing a feeling of a therapeutic getaway from the business of urban life. Aqua Media Cologne forte is like a sip of aromatic iced green tea while lounging on the soft carpet of moss under a tree in the early morning.
The entire Aqua Collection draws on the different facets of freshness, and Aqua Media Cologne forte arrives just in time for the unveiling of the Perfumer's Garden at the Palace of Versailles, which was made possible thanks to the patronage of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Located in the Châteauneuf Orangerie in the heart of the Trianon estate, this new garden will cultivate awareness of the history of fragrance at the Court of Versailles, which became the cradle of perfume-making craft and artistry in the 17th century.
The extraordinary synergy between the Trianon's gardeners and Francis Kurkdjian culminated in the Perfumer's Garden, home to more than three hundred plants used in perfume-making. Together with his team, Alain Baraton, head gardener of the Trianon estate, spent more than two years bringing the garden to life.
The garden features traditional botanicals; essences that exude unexpected aromas; and "mute" or silent flowers, such as hyacinth, peony, and violet. In keeping with the spirit of the 17th-century Trianon gardens, this "Jardin du Parfumeur" is composed of three distinct areas: "The Garden of Curiosities" in front of the Orangerie, where most of the floral essences can be found, "Under the Trees" with its blossomed walkway of Japanese cherry trees, and "The Secret Garden" with its more intimate atmosphere. An absolute must of an olfactory experience to add to your bucket list this summer.
