Perfume is an abstract art form. To wear a scent is to carry a private artwork with you wherever you go, one that changes over time and creates a space around you.
“I create contemporary, small batch, artisanal scents in my San Francisco studio as part of my art practice. Some scents have appeared in my exhibitions, others are inspired by artists I admire. I do everything myself, including labeling, bottling and packaging. Each bottle that leaves my studio is an artist’s edition. I create these scents with the best raw materials I can find—including rare items like steam distilled neroli, orris butter and turkish rose oil.”
