Bright, clean and pure. North is delicately nostalgic, evoking memories of empty white pages, dry leaves, the crisp wood of Swedish saunas, and children’s drawings. A tidy sense of beauty characterizes this linear (yet lyrical) scent. North opens with crisp notes of Italian bergamot enlivened by the dry heat of black pepper and a bubbly burst of aldehydes. As this shimmering top emerges and subsides, the rich heart of North is revealed to contain a particularly sensual, soft Jasmine and a refreshing unknown quantity of ozonic flower. An overdose of earthy cedarwood floods us with a sense of well-ordered, picturesque adventure. Cooly spiced nutmeg, alongside the soil-like sparkle of vetiver and the sweet smolder of Indonesian patchouli magnify this cedarwood forest and add a luxuriant lactic tang to this woody composition. An enlivening, pure essence, North is as freshly comforting as the interior cool of a forest, draped in afternoon shadow. Direct, handsome and distinctive, North is Scandinavian inspiration.
