‘Scimmie’ (The Apes) features drunken monkeys with various styles of glasses and chalices was originally used to decorate the Dulciora Pastry Shop in Milan in 1950. In 2006 Barnaba Fornasetti designed the interior for L'Eclaireur bar and restaurant on Rue Boissy d'Anglais in Paris. Several evocative settings have been created by drawing on classic Fornasetti decors. Much interpretation as humor references the apes and human behavior in a Fornasetti style.
Otto is a unique scent that transcends time, season, gender and borders. Mediterranean herbs that were found in and around the family home, woods often utilised in interiors designs or pieces of furniture created by Fornasetti. Other more ethereal ingredients - such as incense - conjure a latent spirituality or sense of dreamscape that is often present in Fornasetti graphic poetry.
