Rich, boozy caramel, lactonic balsams, dark woods and cocoa – inspired by decadent bedrooms and the things that happen in them. Originally created in 2009 and rereleased in 2013, Ore initially presents as a triptych carved in honor of the holy seeds, cacao. Initially a dense creme (de cacao), Ore’s woodsy majority absorbs gourmand richness and repurposes the edible notes into a soft accent, like a dusting of bittersweet, red dutch-pressed cocoa accenting the top of a dry cappuccino. Vanilla and whiskey lactone engender musky, skin-like qualities that achieve a similar feat of translation: that chocolate texture which seems undeniably food-centric is refracted through these two notes to create an entirely more carnal sense of consumption. As comforting as a cup of cocoa or the warm embrace of your lover’s arms, Ore is a golden aphrodisiac fit that transcends category and defies expectations. The culmination of delectability.
