Originally devised by Piero Fornasetti in the fifties, the intricate ‘Coromandel’ design reflects his interest in natural forms, floral decorations, leaves and small animals, which combine to reveal a meticulous taste for exoticism. Using the usual time-honored artisanal techniques eponymous with Fornasetti, each piece within the candle collection shines bright in hand-applied gold or silver against a background of carmine red or cobalt blue to amplify the colours with astonishing brilliance.
Mediterranean herbs that were found in and around the family home, woods often utilized in interior designs or pieces of furniture created by Fornasetti.
