Heretic Parfums takes a slight deviation from 100% Natural Perfume with the Dita von Teese fragrance collaboration, Scandalwood.
Heretic Parfums prides itself in working with naturally derived materials, but this time the world famous burlesque performer Dita von Teese lured them in a slightly different direction for this artistic collaboration called Scandalwood. Naturally occurring musk notes can only be achieved working with ingredients that are derived from animals. Heretic Parfums is completely cruelty free, so for this particular fragrance they had to rely on certain synthetic notes to achieve the velvety musk chord they wanted in this seductive scent. They then combined those musky notes with naturally derived materials, in their usual fashion.
Glamorous, seductive and mysterious Scandalwood is a mesmerizing melange. A sparkling scisson of coriander and sturdy woods (bois de rose and atlas cedar) make the start of Scandalwood as softly mysterious (and irresistible!) as bare skin. Slowly, cedar’s smolder blooms into a bittersweet spiral of a red, velveteen voile…bulgarian rose. Utterly voluptuous, Bulgarian rose mimics the outlines of whatever your desire may look like, every nook, cranny, curve and bend illustrated by the lusty electricity of this dreamy flower. Rose is supported and suffused by ylang ylang’s golden light, with which we can better admire each and every modulation of its perfect form.
Creamy sandalwood stabilizes this sensual reverie, its magical solid-liquid dichotomy the perfect foundation for such an amorphous, elusive scent. An entrancing dose of labdanum and benzoin add verve and sparkle, like the perfect two word utterance, a simple, inexcusable invitation to enjoy. A fragrance that exudes glamour and seduction, Scandalwood strikes a playful pose on the balance beam of sexual energy. This scent encourages us to be our best, hedonist selves.
Scandalwood is a playful balance of masculine and feminine and can be worn by all pleasure seekers.
